Jessie Lynn:"Old Pair of Boots" refers to how we are born in to this world,just like a new pair of boots come out the box squeaky clean,then we endure life and travel the road les traveled obtaining scuffs and marks that may never go away until the end of our journey is met,just like an old pair of boots."Boots N Bling It’s a Cowgirl Thing" is a cowgirl’s anthem.I wrote the song for all of the cowgirls and barrel racers who spend their weekends chasing those white lines and three cans!

Jessie Lynn:Since the age of 3,I knew the big stage was my home and where I wanted to be.I always knew I wanted to be a country music singer and went as far to even telling my mother after seeing a Gretchen Wilson concert that when I became famous I was going to have eight buses instead of her four!
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: Music-sharing sites and blogs as well as a flood of releases in general are presenting both listeners and artists with challenging questions. What's your view on the value of music today?

Jessie Lynn:Having your music published is one thing,but having it noticed is another.With so many avenues in which you can distribute your music,you often find yourself in a tangled web that can become quite messy if you do not know how to navigate it properly.I believe it can be quite difficult to actually determine the value of a song nowadays because there is soooooo much out there for you to hear.

Songwriting Q&A

Country Music Explosion: Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Do you think these topics will change over time?

Jessie Lynn:I generally write most of my material, but have cut several tracks from phenomenal songwriters! The theme most constantly portrayed is real-life scenarios that everyone experiences. I do not see this theme changing because I want my music to be real and speak to a persons heart!
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: How would you describe and rate the music scene of the city/state you are currently living in and how important is it in terms of what you're actually writing about?

Jessie Lynn:I would describe it as fair.To be perfectly honest,I find most of my material and help coming from the top executives in Nashville. Not the local or area music scene of Montgomery, AL.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: What are your main impulses to write music?

Jessie Lynn:A real life experience, thought, or idea. Something that I find interesting at that specific time and place. It could be a couple sitting and having dinner, or the sounds of nature that generate thoughts in my head.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: What do you personally consider to be the incisive moments and pieces in your songwriting and/or career?

Jessie Lynn:The ideas or thoughts that come and tell their own story in less than 30 minutes or places that allow your mind to wander freely with no interruptions.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: When it comes to song writing, what are your criteria for quality? What are currently your main challenges and ambitions as a writer?

Jessie Lynn:Has to have a clear and concise message with no wandering routes. It must tell a story. Often paraphrasing or phrasing a lyric is my most difficult challenge when writing a song.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: What do you usually start with when working on a new Music?

Jessie Lynn:The lyrics then the melody
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: Tell us about the selection process for deciding on what to write about, please. What sources will you draw from for research purposes and how much time goes into research, information gathering and fact-checking in general?

Jessie Lynn:For me there’s not really a selection process. I write on impulse rather than selecting my topic, researching and then writing. To me, being able to “write in the moment” is the best way to obtain your best material.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: How do you see the role of a song writer in the creative process? Should it amplify public taste, distinguish the good from the bad, inform, promote artists, or, “illuminate, educate and entertain” fans? Do you feel that, as part of your work, music needs to be explained or should it retain its “inexplicable nature”?

Jessie Lynn:A Songwriter is an artist just like we are. They have their own way of thinking as we have ours. To me, a songwriter is like a seamstress who sews together two pieces of fabric to make one. A Songwriter takes the work he or she has, places it with an artist, allows them to put their spin on the material thus creating one collective piece!
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: In which way does writing and reading about music change the way it is perceived by the public?

Jessie Lynn:Personally,I believe that what the public sees and what we as artists see are two different things.We see the potential for something new and different than what the current “stars” are doing.The public only sees the here and now moment due to radio and media.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: Whom do you feel your obligation is to. other artists or the fans, and how much do you feel is songwriting restricted by external factors?

Jessie Lynn:Definitely my fans.They are the ones who make all of this possible and are the ones who will back me 110%
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: Song writing has changed considerably over the past century. What, do you feel, could – or should - be new forms and formats for song writing?

Jessie Lynn:Fewer number of cowriters on a song.I personally do not like to have over two other writers in the room when working on a co-write.Reason being is that if you have more than three people discussing a topic,it can get confusing and overly crowded during a conversation on the piece.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion: When and why did you start writing songs?

Jessie Lynn:I actually started writing at 7 but didn’t really pursue writing professionally until I was 15.
