Josh Walters:Youngest child. I have 2 older step sisters, one older step brother, one younger half brother, one younger half sister. I would be the middle child. I consider all of them to be my real brothers and sisters.

Josh Walters:The river banks of the Red River.

Josh Walters:Yes. Graduated from Marksville High school in 2009 and attended college for a few months.

Josh Walters:I spent 3 of my 4 high school years with my girlfriend at the time. That was my best friend at the time.

Josh Walters:Don't really see a lot of people I went to school with but we enjoyed fishing and camping.

Josh Walters:I got in trouble one time and that was the only time my dad ever whipped my butt and he never had to whip me again.

Josh Walters:That life is too short not to make yourself happy and that it is too short to take loved ones for granted.

Josh Walters:I'm from Central Louisiana where the Cajun Culture is the main background of the area. So I would have to say Rice and Gravy or Boiled Crawfish.

Josh Walters:Sweet Tea.

Josh Walters:Tie between Fall and Spring.I love to watch the leaves fall and feel the cool weather.Love hunting whitetails.I love watching the leaves turn green in the spring and feeling the spring temperatures that make those Spring Time Gobblers sing.

Country Music Explosion:What is one moment in your life that you will never forget?

Josh Walters:July 19, 2017 at 11:28pm the best thing in my life happened. She weighed 7lbs 11ozs and was 20 and a quarter inches long. My daughter Olivia Faith.

Josh Walters:That's a tough one because growing up and even now I've never really been a fan of the super heroes. I've always been a Batman and wrestling fan.

Josh Walters:Michelob Ultra and Jack and Coke. I don't really drink though.

Josh Walters:My daughter would be one and sad to say but probably my phone because it's used for so much.

Josh Walters:We have a dog and a cat.

Josh Walters:The future is never guaranteed but hopefully I'll continue my journey on this country music venture and exceed my expectations and others expectations. And another thing is to be a better father every day.

Josh Walters:Hunting, Fishing, Camping.

Josh Walters:Played a lot of video games growing up. Now I spend a lot of time playing my guitar.

Josh Walters:Biggest goal would be to make a name for myself in the music world and to leave behind something for my daughter so that she never has to worry about anything.

Josh Walters:I'm very imaginative and creative in some aspects.Other than that not really sure they must still be hidden.

Josh Walters:I was born in Marksville,La on August 1991.I was one of the last babies that were delivered there.I grew up to adulthood in the same area.

Josh Walters:I've lived in a few different cities and towns around central Louisiana.

Josh Walters:1991. I'm 27 years old at the moment.

Josh Walters:My original plans was to go to college and major in Business Administration.I chose that because I liked the business field.Ended up having a few problems during registration and ended up going to trade school for an Electrician.I stayed there for a few months and started pursuing music.

Josh Walters:Not really sure. Never actually sat down and tried.

Josh Walters:Not really sure.

Josh Walters:Not really sure but I do remember hearing stories about some of my acestors coming from Ireland.

Josh Walters:Camping, hunting, fishing.

Josh Walters:Not to my knowledge or that I can remember.

Josh Walters:Actually a funny story because when I was in Kindergarten I got locked in the school due to the teacher not waking me up from nap time to go home.So my mom kept me out of school for a year and went through kindergarten again.Wasn't funny at the time but I look back now and laugh at it.I wouldn't laugh if it would happen to my daughter though because I'd know just how my parents felt at the time. hen when I was in 3rd grade I had caught up with my work to a 4th grade level so they moved me to 4th grade.I was a cheerleader in the 7th grade.In 9th grade I played football for 2 weeks because my mom wouldn't bring me to practice.Thanks mom.In 10th grade I took off a week of school to go squirrel hunting in Arkansas with my grandfather.My 11th grade year I made AB honor roll the whole year.My 12th grade year I made A honor roll and played Tennis for the school team.

Josh Walters:They would probably be the reason I am pursuing this careen because they got me more involved with it.

Josh Walters:The song I wrote for my daughter will always be my most special song and it's called Olivia's Song.

Josh Walters:It's completely about my daughter.

Josh Walters:Probably Running Back To Him, it talks about a woman who's with a man but he's always cheating on her so she breaks up and goes to another man who is madly in love with her but she always runs back to the cheater.

Josh Walters:I want to be different.The sound.The look.The feel.I want people to know that there's still at least one person out there that will keep Traditional Songs alive.And want them to stand up for what they believe in regardless what others think of them.

Josh Walters:All ages. Mostly around 20-40 years of age though.

Josh Walters:Country. 90s Country if I had to say. And my two favorite singers are George Jones and Keith Whitley.

Josh Walters:Real Life Situations or everyday feelings. A lot of my songs are not meant to be happy songs.

Josh Walters:I was 14 when I started singing and it was Country Music. When I was 19 I really started pushing myself in the music world.

Josh Walters:Things have definitely changed over the years due to technology. A person can make or break themselves over social media or the web.

Josh Walters:I play the guitar. I do know how to play the keyboard, bass, and drums to a certain point.

Josh Walters:A lot of my family is. Some pursued music and some do it as a hobby.

Josh Walters:We have family that plays multiple genres of music and different instruments.

Josh Walters:As far as musician wise I wouldn't really know. Just right off of hand I'd probably say Brad Paisley because he can pretty much make his guitar talk with words.

Josh Walters:Haven't really learned from any famous musician.I've always spent majority of my time learning from singers.

Josh Walters:I've played on a stage where a lot of famous entertainers have played.

Josh Walters:I vaguely remember tapes growing up. It was more of CDs and it was multiple artists and mutiple genres.

Josh Walters:Not really sure. Very hard to answer.

Josh Walters:Never attended one.

Josh Walters:I practice everyday some times for hours at a time.

Josh Walters:I practice new songs, original songs, songs that I do all the time just to keep it fresh in my memory.

Josh Walters:I do music full time and I'm a father full time.When I'm practicing,booking,marketing,promos,etc my daughter is always right there with me.

Country Music Explosion:Are you currently looking to be signed to a label?If your signed,can you give us a little insight on how you see the way things are done?is it like a big family?

Josh Walters:Not really looking at the moment because there's more that I want to accomplish on my own first.

Josh Walters:I am recording a new EP in September. The scheduled release for it is November 22, 2019. The EP is titled I Can't Wait To See. All original songs that I wrote.

Josh Walters:Right now I have a few songs on all the Major Digital Download sites and apps. My new EP will be available on the same. As well as my website www.josh-walters.com and live shows.

Josh Walters:I have one EP released right now. It was a self titled release. It took 2 days to record it. Favorite song was Outs With The In Crowd. All the songs were written by Tommy Barnes who was the hit songwriter of Indian Outlaw by Tim Mcgraw.

Josh Walters:Technology has made it possible for a person to build there own stardom.

Josh Walters:I wrote my songs alone. They are about hurt, everyday life, and I'm sure in time things will change some.

Josh Walters:No I write songs in the oddest of times and places.

Josh Walters:If I sit down to write then I can't.When I'm not trying and my mind is away from music is when songs come to me.

Josh Walters:When they come I write them. I'm strictly independent.

Josh Walters:I think that a lot of people in my area and around the country can relate to my music.

Josh Walters:Don't really have any. They songs come at different times and about different subjects.

Josh Walters:I think it's amazing to watch all of the songs being born.

Josh Walters:I write to satisfy myself mostly. It's my way of escaping things or talking about my problems. While I'm writing I think of different ways or words I can put to make it to where everyone can relate fully.

Josh Walters:The melody. Then the words.

Josh Walters:I've never wrote anything to where I would be able to answer this question.

Should it amplify public taste, distinguish the good from the bad, inform, promote artists, or, “illuminate, educate and entertain” fans? Do you feel that, as part of your work, music needs to be explained or should it retain its “inexplicable nature”?

Josh Walters:Not sure if this would be an applicable answer or not but I see it as a terrible singer can still boost a good song but multiple top notch singers can't boost a bad song.

Josh Walters:Sometimes they may never truly understand the real meaning behind a song or what the writer actually meant in the song.

Josh Walters:I write for myself but I'm always thinking about the fans because at the end of the day it's them who make our careers possible.

Josh Walters:I've performed all across Louisiana and some parts of Texas. My favorite would be the bigger clubs or casinos and least favorite is hard to say because some of the smaller venues are just as fun as the bigger ones.

Josh Walters:I play to the crowd.

Josh Walters:I've done a few when I was younger.Won first place in a preliminary round of the Colgate Country Showdown.

Josh Walters:I perform in public for gigs and I do social media and radio broadcasts.

Josh Walters:Not really much brand loyalty from any of us. Kinda go with what we got and what we need.

Josh Walters:All over Louisiana and some parts of Texas. Casinos and larger clubs are favorite. Least favorite is really hard to say.

Josh Walters:I play originals and covers and work with a set list most of the time.
