Ryan Hinkle:I grew up in southern Missouri in a very small town.I am a part of a huge southern family and we are all very close. I played football and basketball growing up and I enjoyed Camping , fishing and Hunting as well.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion:When did you start writing about music—and what or who were your early passions and influences?

Ryan Hinkle:I started writing just a few years ago. Id say my biggest influences are Hank Williams Sr. , George Strait, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash and Mark Chesnutt.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion:What are your main impulses to write music?

Ryan Hinkle:Its always triggered by my current , real life emotions. You can pretty much tell how I was feeling at any given time if you lsten to the music Ive written.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion:What do you personally consider to be the incisive moments and pieces in your songwriting and/or career?

Ryan Hinkle:I think the most honest song Ive written and was very telling about my own mistakes, is a song called "I'll be in Tennessee" I wrote it after losing the person I loved very much because I was unfaithful. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and it turned into a very heartfelt song.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion:How would you describe and rate the music scene of the city/state you are currently living in and how important is it in terms of what you're actually writing about?

Ryan Hinkle:I currently live in the Los Angeles area, and its got a great music scene. Lots a wonderful venues and country music fans. I wouldnt say its influenced my music much though. I stick to my roots for that,
====================================================
Country Music Explosion:When it comes to song writing, what are your criteria for quality? What are currently your main challenges and ambitions as a writer?

Ryan Hinkle:Id say that if a song doesnt immediately move you to a different place emotionally, then its probably not something Id cut. The biggest challenge is trying to pick which songs to record and which to wait on.
====================================================
Country Music Explosion:What do you usually start with when working on a new Music?

Ryan Hinkle:A basic Idea or concept that is a part of an emotion im feeling at the time.

Country Music Explosion:Tell us a bit about the selection process for deciding on what to write about, please. What Sources will you draw from for research purposes and how much time goes into research, information gathering and fact-checking in general?

====================================================
Country Music Explosion:How do you see the role of a song writer in the creative process? Should it amplify public taste, distinguish the good from the bad, inform, promote artists, or, “illuminate, educate and entertain” fans? Do you feel that, as part of your work, music needs to be explained or should it retain its “inexplicable nature”?

Ryan Hinkle:A song writers job is to turn an emotion into music. I dont think it matters how they get there, as long as they arrive.

====================================================
Country Music Explosion:song writing have changed considerably over the past century. What, do you feel, could – or should - be new forms and formats for song writing?

====================================================
Country Music Explosion:Music-sharing sites and blogs as well as a flood of releases in general are presenting both listeners and artists with challenging questions. What's your view on the value of music today?
